With International Business you are choosing a Master’s Program that builds on your completed Bachelor’s Degree and allows you to deepen your knowledge in the areas of business and management.

Working in an international environment and in a position of responsibility, requires leadership, teamwork and integration capabilities, high motivation, multilingualism and excellent professional skills. With the knowledge and skills gained in a Master's program at the EMS you will be qualified to meet the challenges and requirements of any company. Having already acquired the business basics during your Bachelor studies, the Master’s program will allow you to deepen your knowledge in various subjects of international business administration. To give your studies a more personal touch and maybe set the tracks for your future career you can specialise in one of four management core subjects. Chose one of the following three specialisations:

Career Focus

The study focus within the Master’s programs at the EMS are tailored to the current needs of the economy and based on developments in globalization and corporate policy of international companies and corporations. The professors and lecturers at the EMS are experts in their fields and thus optimally prepare you for the challenges awaiting you in the business world.

The study course plan includes one main course per semester on a current economic or business topic. In addition, you will complete diverse case studies and group work activities. Through these teaching methods you will learn to address and solve actual issues in business with an academic approach. Two business electives during the third semester provide you the opportunity to further tailor your study program according to your interests.

Best Qualification

An important advantage of your business studies at the EMS includes building on your additional qualifications. Language training and soft skill course round off our education package. Practical on the job experience is gained during a multi-week internship at a company of your choice. You will make important industry contacts or future employers through our exclusive event "Business Insights" and regional company visits. Your Master’s thesis, completed during the fourth semester, finishes off your studies at the EMS. 

The fourth semester (thesis semester) can also be spent at a partner university abroad or working with a company in order to collect further professional experience. With a Master of Arts from the EMS you are qualified to continue on to complete your Doctorate.
