Study Human Resource Management & Leadership

A main goal of this study program is to give a profound understanding for strategic human resource management on an international level. The employees are a company’s most important resource and are mostly responsible for the company’s success. This is one of the reasons why human resource management belongs to the basic courses in business management. In the course of your studies, you get to know the important tasks of HRM, for example the implementation of a strategic, international and sustainable management. Additionally, you will learn to analyze the consequences of personnel decisions on a company’s success.

Another important part of your studies is to gain a profound understanding for strategic leadership on an international level.

English study program

The Master degree course Human Resource Management and Leadership is an internationally oriented study program. The lecture language is English. This program’s goal is to provide you with profound insights into international business processes. Thereby, the study contents are always viewed and analyzed from an international context. English is the general language in many companies in this field, therefore these companies specifically look for graduates with fluent English language skills. Additional foreign language courses, for example in Spanish or French, give you the possibility to learn or broaden other language skills and help you to stand out among other applicants.

Study with practical orientation in Mainz

In addition to the international orientation, this study program also focuses on a high practical orientation. In the course of your studies you have repeated possibilities to connect theory with practice.

Many of our lecturers come from the free business and can introduce their practical knowledge to the lectures. In addition, the lecturers bring in practical case studies.

Furthermore, you can apply your theoretical knowledge during an internship between the second and third semester, at home or abroad and gain valuable work experience. A business project as well as a simulated business game gives you the opportunity to connect and apply theory and practice.
