Master's Program at the EMS

Applications can be submitted throughout the whole year as we have a rolling admission at EMS. Please note that our master courses start only in the winter semester (August).  Early application is advised, especially if you require a visa to study in Germany. Should you not have your diploma yet, please hand in your academic transcript of records. Please show us your diploma in original or a certified copy before you start your studies.

Admission Requirements

The admission requirements for our EMS Master programs is a first academic qualification (Bachelor of Arts, Diploma, Master of Arts) with a minimum of 180 ECTS-Credits of a recognized German or international university, university of applied sciences or university of cooperative education. The degree should be business-related. After having reviewed your application, we will invite you to a personal assessment day at EMS or alternatively a Skype interview.

Please submit the following application documents for the Master’s degree programs:

  • Completed application form (if you apply by mail)
  • Letter of motivation: one DIN A4 page which answers the following question: "How do you view your vocational future after your studies at EMS?"
  • Complete CV in tabular form with passport photo
  • If applicable: certificates of your first academic degree (Bachelor, Diploma) and proof of your study achievements to date (official academic transcript of records)
  • For the English-language degree courses a proof of English language proficiency (if English is not your first language) through TOEFL-certificate (min. 92 points Internet-based), or IELTS (min. Band 6.5), both not older than two years. Alternatively, you can submit the proof by a min. six months stay abroad in an English-speaking country
  • Optional: proof of your semester abroad and/or proof of job experience/internship
  • If available: Letter of Recommendation from prior university
  • A digital passport photo as JPEG
